Abstract:

To provide an organic compound stable to light, oxygen and heat, and showing a highly efficient photoelectric conversion characteristic in using as a solar cell of an organic thin film.

This indole derivative is expressed by formula (1) [wherein, Ar is a substituted or non-substituted aryl, substituted or non-substituted heteroaryl or substituted or non-substituted alkyl; R1 to R8 are each H, a halogen atom, a cyano, nitro, substituted or non-substituted alkyl, substituted or non-substituted alkenyl, substituted or non-substituted alkynyl, substituted or non-substituted aryl, substituted or non-substituted heteroaryl, substituted or non-substituted alkyloxy, substituted or non-substituted aryloxy, substituted or non-substituted arylamino, or substituted or non-substituted alkylamino group; and adjacent groups among R1 to R8, may bond with each other to form a ring].
