Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a position detection device precisely detecting the position of an object without being affected by the fluctuation of incident light quantity.
CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a light emitting diode 107 arranged on one side of a photographic film 101, a PSD 105 which is arranged on the other side of the film 101 and provided with a light receiving sensing band 103 in the traveling direction of the film 101 (direction shown by an arrow in the figure) and which generates a pair of photoelectric currents I1 and I2 corresponding to the position of incident luminous flux, a conversion means respectively converting the currents I1 and I2 into photoelectric voltages, an arithmetic means obtaining the voltage of the center of gravity based on the photoelectric voltages and a comparison means comparing the voltage of the center of gravity with the reference voltage of required polarity. Based on the output of the comparison means, the position of the film 101 is monitored and the carrying state of the film 101 is detected.
