To provide an indoor-installable apparatus and an indoor method for treating waste developer, wherein COD, BOD and an ammonia nitrogen component can be reduced surely, large-scale incidental facilities are not required and a room is not contaminated by waste developer.

The indoor-installable apparatus for treating waste developer is composed of: a supply port for supplying the waste developer used for development processing; an agitation tank in which the waste developer supplied from the supply port is housed and agitated; a throw-in unit for throwing a flocculant and a neutralizing agent in the agitation tank; a first pump connected to the bottom of the agitation tank; and a filtration unit connected to the downstream side of the first pump for filtering the waste developer sent from the first pump. The agitation tank and the filtration unit are housed at least in one box unit.
