Abstract:
An indoor unit of air conditioner comprises an indoor unit body provided with an air inlet and an air outlet communicating with an air duct, and a switch mechanism section provided through an opening formed on the bottom face or front face of the indoor unit body. The switch mechanism section comprises a light receiving element contained in the indoor unit body so as to oppose to the opening and receiving control signal light from a remote controller, a depression switch provided in the vicinity of the light receiving element in order to forcibly operate the air conditioner, and a switch operator composed of a translucent material and operating the depression switch when it is depressed to close the opening.
