PURPOSE: To obtain a monitor for monitoring the inductance of a first coil which is not a part of a resonance circuit.
CONSTITUTION: The inductance monitor comprises a second coil L2 connected in series with a first coil L1, and a resonance circuit formed by connecting a capacitor C2 with a third coil L3 arranged in mutual induction relationship to the second coil L2 such that the second and third coils L2, L3 serve as the primary and secondary coils of a transformer M. The inductance monitor further comprises means for feeding an AC signal of substantially constant peak voltage amplitude having frequency within the resonance peak of the resonance circuit, and an amplitude detector 5 for measuring the amplitude of voltage through a component of the resonance circuit.
