To prevent heat of molten metal from being directly conducted to an inductor by combining a so-called external molten metal electromagnetic pump with advantages of an immersion type molten metal electromagnetic pump and facilitate maintenance such as assembly and disassembly of ducts.
The molten metal electromagnetic pump has an outer duct 3 with a closed one end which forms a part or a whole of a wall body of a molten metal container 11 for storing the molten metal 12, a cylindrical molten metal supply duct 1 having an end part at a flow-in port 5 side arranged in the outer duct 3, the inductor 14 arranged to surround the outer duct 3 at the outside thereof and generating a moving magnetic field between the outer duct 3 and the molten metal supply duct 1, and a core 2 incorporated in the end part of the flow-in port 5 side of the molten metal supply duct 1 to correspond to the position of the inductor 14. The inductor 14 generates the moving magnetic field in a direction where the molten metal between the outer duct 3 and the molten metal supply duct 1 is guided into the molten metal supply duct 1 from the flow-in port 5 thereof.
