Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating apparatus that allows prolonging the lifetime of a switching relay for switching heating coils by detecting abnormality of contacts of the switching relay.SOLUTION: An induction heating apparatus includes a switching relay 11 having a first connection terminal 13 connected to a first heating coil 9, a second connection terminal 14 connected to a second heating coil 10, and a common terminal 12 connected to a DC power supply 1. When a resonant current occurs in a resonant circuit constituted by the first heating coil 9 or the second heating coil 10 and a resonant capacitor 7, a control unit 18 for controlling the switching element 8 and the switching relay 11 determines a connection state of the switching relay 11 on the basis of a detection result of a first voltage detection circuit 17 for detecting the voltage of the first heating coil 9.
