Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate temperature unevenness with a lessened number of electric circuits and heighten the electric power consumption efficiency by switching electric circuits for a pair of induction heating coils arranged along a transportation line of conductive materials based on the level of detected temperature.
CONSTITUTION: The temperature of a slab F, which moves in x-direction, directly under a temperature sensor is detected by the sensor 6 installed in the upper part of the slab F in the upper stream side and the result is written down in a temperature table of a control circuit 5. Meanwhile, electric application to a pair of electromagnets 1A1, 1A'1 from a coil driver 4a1 is ON/OFF- controlled by the circuit 5 through switches Sa1, Sa'1. The temperature of a space region directly under the electromagnets 1A1, lA'1 is read out by the circuit and comparison is carried out and the electromagnet whose temperature is the lower is electrically communicated through an attached switch. By this skid mark removing method, only a half of the capacity needed conventionally becomes sufficient. The method can be applicable for an apparatus provided with a plurality of pairs of induction heating coils arranged in upper and down stream sides in parallel, a plurality of electric circuits corresponding to the coils, and switching means.
