Abstract:
To provide a induction heating coil for the diffusion welding of a joint part of a railroad rail and to provide a diffusion welding method using the method.
This induction heating coil 3 is arranged so as to enclose the outer periphery of the joined part of the railroad 1 and its vicinity and is used for the diffusion joining of the railroad rail by heating the vicinity of the joint. The induction heating coil 3 has a cross section shape which is substantially similar to the cross sectional shape of the railroad rail at the parts 3A, 3B, and 3C other than central part of the flange part 1c of the railroad rail, and has an expanded part 3D which expands downward in the vicinity of the central part of the flange part 1c.
