PURPOSE: To cancel voltage in an X-direction by laying a solenoid coil in such a way as housed within a Y-Z plane, when the coil is provided in an induction heating device, and also causing a coil in an X-direction to be led along a metal strip edge and finally returned to an inlet coil, when a plurality of turns are applied to the solenoid coil.
CONSTITUTION: A solenoid coil 1, when wound along a Y-Z plane, is wound along the next Y-Z plane, so as to provide a constant amount of displacement 11 in an X-direction. Similarly, an induction coil is formed to provide displacement 12 in the X-direction. The last coil 1-2 is laid along the X-direction and led out with the inlet coil 1-1 in the same direction. Namely, the return of the last coil 1-2 is led along a metal strip edge, thereby cancelling voltage appearing in the X-direction. Also, a resonance capacitor 4 is connected to the coils 1-1 and 1-2, while the coils 1-1 and 1-2 are connected to an AC power supply 5. According to this construction, a flow of eddy current can be prevented, and a facility and a product can be protected against deterioration, even if a shortcircuit takes place across both ends of the metal strip edge.
