To provide an induction heating and melting apparatus for granular particles, which is suitable for removing metals in burned ash and fly ash in a harmless manner, capable of recovering the metals with high purity and in high yield, high in facility productivity, and low in running cost.
The induction heating and melting apparatus 1 of the granular particles containing metal oxides comprises a closed hopper 2, a heat-resistant pipe 3 for feeding the granular particles to an induction heating pipe 5, a dielectric induction heating pie 5 made of a dielectric in contact with a lower end of the heat-resistant pipe 3 in a vertically slidable manner, an elevating/lowering drive mechanism 5A for elevating/lowering the pipe 5, a dielectric-made filler 6 receiving the molten granular particles melted in the induction heating pipe 5, an upper cylindrical vacuum chamber 8 iunternally holding the above components, an induction heating coil 10 housing a lower portion of the upper cylindrical vacuum chamber 8, an electric dust collecting means 4 in an upper portion in inside of the upper cylindrical vacuum chamber 3, an inclined pan 11 to relay the molten granular particles flowing down from the filler 6, a tilting mechanism 11T therefor, a molten granular particles storage tank 12 to receive and store the molten granular particles flowing down from the inclined pan 11, and a lower vacuum chamber 16 internally holding the inclined pan 11 and the storage tank 12 and communicating with the lower end of the upper cylindrical vacuum chamber 3.
