In this induction heating type carbonizing furnace, a heating coil 2 for heating this furnace body 1 by the induction heating is arranged outside the furnace body 1 composed of a hollow cylindrical body, a carbonizing object 3 inputted from an inlet 5 on one end of the furnace body 1 is heated in an inactive atmosphere while moving the object toward the other end, the carbonizing object 3 is carbonized, and is discharged from an outlet 6 on the other end of the furnace body. Coil density on the carbonizing object inlet side of the heating coil 2 is set denser than the outlet side, input electric power is increased in an inlet side part having a low carbonizing object temperature, and the input electric power is reduced in the vicinity of the outlet side rising in the carbonizing object temperature.
