This rice cooker 1 (induction-heating type cooking device) is equipped with a fan driving circuit 22 having a transistor 24 to be switched for driving or stopping the fan 7 for cooling a control board 12. The rice cooker is provided with: a fan drive/stop detection circuit 28 for outputting a fan drive detection signal when the fan 7 is being driven, and for outputting a fan stop detection signal when the fan 7 is stopped; and a microcomputer 11 (control means) for determining a failure of the driving circuit 22 based on the detection signal from the detection circuit 28 when a fan driving signal for driving the fan 7 or a fan stopping signal for stopping the fan 7 is outputted to the transistor 24.
