Abstract:

PURPOSE: To melt a high-melting point residue, process it into sand-like grains, separate a metal component, and re-utilize the mineral grains as the gravel to be paved on roads.
CONSTITUTION: A sealed melting chamber 5 is arranged between both leg sections 3 of an inductor 1 wound with a coil 4 on the leg sections 3 of a U-shaped iron core 2, and many graphite blocks 8 and an uncombustible residue 9 are stored in the melting chamber 5. An inert gas feed pipe 7 is fitted, a duckboard 10 is formed at the bottom section of the melting chamber 5, a sealed water tank 2 is provided below it, the graphite blocks 8 are induction- heated to indirectly heat and melt the uncombustible residue 9 kept in contact with them, and the melted residue is dripped into the water tank 12 and quickly cooled in the water to form sand-like solids 16.
