Abstract:

To improve winding cooling efficiency, without increasing the capacity of a cooler and prevent thermal degradation in an insulating coating of the windings.

An induction machine is constituted by an iron core 2, windings 3 and 4, barrier members 33, 35, 36, 43, 45, and 46, and a container 1 filled with a cooling medium. The cooling medium ascends in a prescribed direction, along a channel between the winding 3 and the barrier members 35 and 36, and a channel between the winding 4 and the barrier members 45 and 46 to cool the windings 3 and 4. Other cooling media ascend in a channel between the barrier member 33 and the barrier member 35, a channel between the barrier member 36 and the barrier member 45, and a channel between the barrier member 43 and the barrier member 46 and then flows into the windings 3 and 4 via oil inlet holes 51 to 54 to lower a temperature of insulating oil therein.
