To provide an induction melting furnace capable of efficiently stirring a whole furnace at an even temperature as electric power source of which phase difference and voltage are adjusted is connected with upper and lower coils at the time of stirring.
The two coils 2A, 2B wound around a melting chamber 1 at upper and lower parts are connected in series and their both ends are respectively connected to both ends of two pairs of capacitors 12A, 12B connected in series. A connection point 15 is connected to a first terminal 11A of an inverter power source 10 and another connection point 16 is connected to a second terminal 11B of the inverter power source 10 via a first switch SW1. A second switch SW2 is provided between a middle point 13 of the two coils 2A, 2B and a middle point 14 of the two pairs of capacitors 12A, 12B and a third switch SW3 is connected between the second terminal 11B of the inverter power source 10 and the middle point 14 of the two pairs of capacitors 12A, 12B.
