Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an induction motor controller for coaxial double rotor type vehicle which allows excellent stabilized running even at the time of turning or running on a rough road.

CONSTITUTION: The induction motor controller for coaxial double rotor type vehicle decides whether the ratio or the difference of slip between both squirrel- cage rotors deviates an allowable range (106), and sets a frequency value and a voltage value based on the lower slip when the allowable range is not deviated otherwise on the higher slip(108-116). Since the frequency and voltage values are controlled at all times based on the lower slip, the other slip does not enter into a substantial zero region even if it is not monitored constantly. Even when one wheel slips to decrease the slip of associated squirrel-cage rotor significantly, the frequency and voltage values are controlled based on the other sound wheel thus ensuring an optimal torque for the normal wheel.
