To provide an induction motor having desired characters and facilitate its manufacturing, by constituting at least one hand of a stator and a rotor of an object being made by winding a sheet-shaped member, where a copper wire is meandered to be parallel side by side at regular pitches, so that the copper wire may look in axial direction, and making the copper wire constitute the winding or the stator or the slot bar of the rotor.

A sheets-shaped member 24 is wound around a cylinder 25 for roll so that a copper wire may look in axial direction from the side of its one end 24a. The pitch of weaving of the copper wire 21 is decided in advance so that the copper wire 21 in the sheet-shaped member 24 at the upper layer may be positioned right above the copper wire 21 in the sheet-shaped member 24 at the lower layer, out of the sheet-shaped member 24, when the sheet-shaped member 24 is wound. Then, the copper wire 21 in the sheet-shaped member 24 at the upper layer is positioned right above the copper wire 21 in the sheet-shaped member 24 at each layer, and the winding of the stator is constituted of this copper wire 21. Hereby, the work of setting the copper wire in the plural slots of a ring-shaped member becomes needless, and the manufacture of the motor becomes easy.
