Abstract:
To provide an induction motor initiation system which can reduce a starting current.SOLUTION: The total capacity of a first induction motor M1 and a second induction motor M2 is the same as the load capacity of a pump 2. The capacity of the first induction motor M1 is smaller than the capacity of the second induction motor M2, and the block operation of the pump 2 is possible. A control device 20 switches on a fifth circuit breaker CB5 and a third circuit breaker CB3, to make the first induction motor M1 drive with a soft starter 3. After the revolution speed of the first induction motor M1 becomes synchronous with the prescribed revolution speed of an AC power source 8, the third circuit breaker CB3 is open, and the first circuit breaker CB1 is switched on. Thereafter, the fourth circuit breaker CB4 is switched on to feed an excitation current to the second induction motor M2 with the soft starter 3, and then the fourth circuit breaker CB4 is open and the second circuit breaker CB2 is switched on.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
