Title:
INDUCTIVE LOAD DRIVING CIRCUIT HAVING OVERCURRENT DETECTION FUNCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006161792
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To accurately detect the presence or absence of occurrence of overcurrent without increasing scale of a circuit in any case where load is driven in any form through common terminals connected with load in common.

This inductive load driving circuit 100 is provided with the common terminals COM1, COM2 connected with a plurality of inductive loads in common and is provided with FET101, FET102 for turning on/off driving signals applied on these inductive loads from a feeding circuit through the common terminals COM1, COM2 and corresponding to the common terminals COM1, COM2, respectively. Current flowing in the feeding circuit when the FET101, FET102 are in an on-state is extracted through current detection resistance 113 to detect the presence or absence of overcurrent based on the comparison of the extracted current-equivalent value with threshold voltage Vth changed by an AND circuit 127, a transistor 128, and resistance 129a, 129b in accordance with the presence or absence of overlapping of turning-on periods of the FET101 and FET102.
