To provide an inductive load driving circuit which reduces power consumption in a normal operation and properly prevents a high current from being generated when a battery is connected in the opposite direction.
The inductive load driving circuit 10 includes a switch circuit 12 provided between a battery and an inductive load, a control circuit 11 controlling the switching operation of the switch circuit 12, and a protective circuit 13 connected in series to the switch circuit 12 and having the inductive loads connected in parallel with each other. When the battery is correctly connected, the switch circuit 12 switches whether to supply electricity to the inductive load, and when the battery is connected in the opposite direction, the switch circuit supplies electrification in a direction opposite to that when the battery is correctly connected. When the battery is correctly connected, the protective circuit 13 is made conductive by the counter electromotive voltage of the inductive load generated when the inductive load is made non-conductive by the switch circuit 12. When the battery is connected in the opposite direction, the protective circuit is made non-conductive.
