PURPOSE: To provide an inductor, which dispenses with a multilayer structure treatment, improves a temperature coefficient and is capable of preventing the generation of an electrical short-circuit, in the case where a spinel type ferrite is used as a magnetic-core material and a resin is formed into a composite structure with this magnetic-core material to manufacture the inductor.
CONSTITUTION: In a molded inductor, which is constituted by forming a spinel type ferrite magnetic material and a resin into a composite structure, the temperature coefficient of the permeability of the magnetic material is negatively set. In the case where the main component of the magnetic material is assumed a (Ni1-x.Cux)O.bZnO.cFe2O3 the (x), the (a), the (b) and the (c) are used so as to satisfy the conditions of x=0.1 to 0.8, a+b+c=100, b=0 to 35 (b=0 is also included.) and c=47.5 to 48.5 and the Curie temperature of the magnetic material is set at 100°C or higher.
