Abstract:
To provide a high-performance inductor having a Q value with low resistance by enabling a power supply component such as a high-frequency DC/DC converter to reduce the size and thickness of the inductor and reducing high-frequency loss due to the skin effect and proximity effect of a coil.SOLUTION: An inductor having a coil wound with a conductor wire having a coil conductor portion 1 having a rectangular cross section and a magnetic body 2 covering the coil includes a nonmagnetic insulator 3 between the coil conductor portion 1 and the magnetic body 2 on at least one long side of the rectangular cross section for at least one coil conductor portion 1. The width of the nonmagnetic insulator 3 in the long side direction of the rectangular cross section of the coil conductor portion 1 is equal to or less than the length of the long side of the rectangular cross section of the coil conductor portion 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
