Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily process a jammed medium and to shorten a time until jamming is recovered by processing a preceding medium preceding the jammed medium when the jamming occurs, and returning a succeeding medium following the jammed medium to a return part. CONSTITUTION:When the occurrence of the jamming is detected by a medium detecting sensor S, a carrying system comprised of one or plural carrying members 24 in which the jammed medium exists is stopped, and the carrying system in which the preceding medium preceding jammed medium exists continues an operation without stopping, and the preceding medium is processed similarly as a normal processing. Meanwhile, the carrying system in which the succeeding medium following the jammed medium exists is returned to a collection part 9 by rotating in a backward direction when the jamming occurs. Therefore, only the jammed medium remains on a carrying path 14, and a recovery operation can be performed by removing the jammed medium. Thereby, the recovery processing can be simplified without consuming much time and a miscalculation fault can be prevented occurring.
