PURPOSE: To provide, in the case of bed system equipped with toilet, technique to stabilize an upper half of a patient's body without a person who looks after him while relieving himself giving no feeling of apprehension.

CONSTITUTION: Armrests 5 are provided in order to hold an upper half of a patient's body when it is erected at the front portion 1 of a mat 3 in a system where a mat 3 which can be seperated into the front portion 1 and the rear portion 2 is provided and the front portion 1 can move from a horizontal position to an erected one, while suporting an upper half of a patient's body and a stool is equipped undrneath a place of seperation between the front portion 1 and the rear portion 2.
