Title:
INDUSTRIAL CASTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3887627
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial caster without a construction of locking rotation of a wheel by pressing a member against a tire of the wheel.
SOLUTION: A lock ring 6 is pressed in an arrow A direction by energizing force of a spring 8 and the tire wheel 3 and the locking 6 are brought in taper engagement. Simultaneously with relative movement between them is inhibited, relative movement between the tire wheel 3 and an axle shaft 5 is inhibited and rotation of the wheel is locked. When the lock condition is to be released, external force is applied to a cam lever 7 and the cam lever 7 is rotated in a suitable direction. With this rotation, a protrusion 6b relatively moves along a cam groove of the cam lever 7 and the lock ring 6 moves in a direction opposite to the arrow A direction by force resisting the energizing force of the spring 8 and transmitted through the protrusion 6b from the cam lever 7. After the cam lever 7 is rotated to a position where it can not rotate any more, it is necessary for the protrusion 6b to be locked in a locking groove of the cam groove.
