Abstract:

To provide an industrial endoscope capable of easily and surely guiding the edge of an endoscope probe to an aimed part in an object to be observed while objectively deciding the position of the distal end part of the endoscope probe.

The industrial endoscope is provided with a sensor SE for detecting the displacement amount of the distal end part 3a of the endoscope probe 3, and a control unit CU for obtaining at least either the position or the attitude of the distal end part 3a of the endoscope probe 3 on the basis of the detection value of the sensor SE. When the distal end part 3a of the endoscope probe 3 is inserted into the object to be observed, a video picked up by the imaging means of the endoscope probe 3 is displayed on an LCD 8, and the position and the attitude of the edge part 3a of the endoscope probe 3 is decided on the basis of the detection value of the sensor SE.
