PURPOSE: To obtain an excellent industrial fan capable of being manufactured at a low cost without increasing the number of parts and mandays for assembly, and having advantages of easy operation from the front when the fan is used as a wall fan by making it possible to mount a motor on a stand with its front turned reverse when the fan is changed from floor type to wall type.

CONSTITUTION: When an industrial fan is used as a floor fan, a tripod 6 is fixed through plural fixing holes 3a to the lower face of a stand 3 with bolts and nuts, with a switch part 8 mounted to the rear side of the stand 3. When the industrial fan is used as a wall fan, the stand 3 is connected to a motor 2 with its front turned reverse. In this case, the switch part 8 is mounted to the motor so that the switch part is positioned at the front side of the stand 3. Since a guard 9 is mounted apart from the front side of the stand 3, the guard 9 is out of contact with the switch part 8. When the industrial fan is used as a floor fan, the motor 2 is mounted with the switch part 8 located at the rear side of the stand 3, and when the fan is used as a wall fan, the motor 2 is mounted on the stand 3 with its front turned reverse.
