PURPOSE: To reduce the number of the running times of a robot, so as to shorten a cycle time by providing a board for putting on a pallet for supplying a material and for receiving a finished article, as well as a partially fabricated item, on a table of a running robot, and by providing a space for filling and removing the pallet, on one end of a running rail.

CONSTITUTION: A pallet 12 for supplying material on a retaining position 15 and a pallet 13 for receiving finished article on a retaining position 18, are moved on a table 21 of a running robot 9a, while a running robot 9 is let run to the left end in the drawing, and a finished article 20 is transferred on the pallet 13 for receiving finished article by the arm or hand of a robot main body 11, while a material 19 for the following process is moved from the pallet for supplying material to process machines 1, 5. The running robot 9 is then moved to the right end of a running rail 10, and the pallet for receiving finished article on the table 21 is transferred to a retaining position 16, and the pallet 12 for supplying material to a retaining position 17. The pallet 12 for supplying material and the pallet 13 for receiving finished article for the following process are moved on the table 21, and the running robot 9 is then moved to the left end of the running rail 10 again.
