Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial woven fabric such as a papermaking dryer canvas which is improved in the abrasion resistance of a joint part.SOLUTION: An industrial woven fabric of the present invention includes: an industrial woven fabric body 10 in a plain-woven open mesh form; and a joint part 20 provided at the end part of the industrial woven fabric body 10. The joint part 20 includes: an interwoven part in which warp yarns 1 exposed by removing weft yarns 2 from the end part of the industrial woven fabric body 10 are folded back and interwoven with weft yarns (9a, 9b, 9c, 9d, 9e, 9f, 9g and 9h) in a folded-back part arranged on one surface of the industrial woven fabric body 10 so as to be superposed on weft yarns 2 in the industrial woven fabric body 10; and a spiral wire 5 which is engaged with loops formed by the folded-back warp yarns. The weft yarns in the folded-back part have a diameter equal to or less than 100% of the diameter of the weft yarn in the industrial woven fabric body. At least 50% of the weft yarns except a front end weft yarn in the folded-back part have a diameter equal to or more than 70% and less than 100% of the diameter of the weft yarn in the industrial woven fabric body.
