Abstract:
Plant for industrial mfr. of electrically conducting wires treated by flocking and adhesives, comprises a wire flocking appts. and an adhesive coating appts. regulated and synchronised by means of a control cabinet as a function of defined parameters representing the adhesives and the linear rate of unwinding and winding of the wire coil held in a free state. Specifically the plant comprises an adhesive applicator for applying adhesive directly to the wire after flocking. The plant is used in the mfr. of man-made substitutes for cloths of animal and vegetable fibres, velours, pipings and boards etc., into which electrically conductive wiring is introduced for e.g. heating purposes. The treated wire can be adhered to the cloth invisibly and rapidly using machines, without using mechanical fastenings such as nails, grips, claw collars, etc. as in prior art which were applied with long and often difficult manual operations, thus saving considerably in manual labour costs.
