PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize relative positions of two members when pressing-in ends in an inertia pressing in method in which kinetic energy is given to at least either of two members in the direction in which they approach mutually and two members are pressed in mutually.
SOLUTION: Relative positions of two members 10, 12 when pressing-in ends are specified by bringing a tip face 80 of a first member 10 and a bottom face 82 of a second member 12 into contact mutually, and kinetic energy remaining in at least either of the members 10, 12 is absorbed due to plastic deformation of at least either of two members 10, 12 immediately after their contact. Consequently, relative positions of two members are stabilized upon completion of pressing-in. Moreover, when plastic deformation performances of two members 10, 12 are increased, a maximum value appears in a graph in which kinetic energy is expressed by abscissa and a deviation amount between the relative positions of two members is expressed by ordinate. When the plastic deformation performances of two members are selected to reduce this maximum value, the deviation amount between the relative positions can be reduced even if control accuracy of a give amount of kinetic energy is inferior.
