PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infection prevention method for preventing, by a simple method, infection of virus or the like via common toilets and toilet bowls of hospital or the like used by many people.SOLUTION: Sheet-like chlorine dioxide generation sources 4 for generating gaseous chlorine dioxide are provided on any one or more of lower surfaces of toilet bowl lids 3, lower surfaces of toilet seats 2, and the insides of openings of the toilet seats. The chlorine dioxide is generated by the chlorine dioxide generation sources 4, so that germs, virus, and the like inside the toilet bowls are killed or inactivated by the chlorine dioxide, thereby preventing pathogen infection via the toilet bowls.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
