Abstract:
To provide a method capable of assessing effectiveness of air circulation and an air purifier in addition to ventilation, and easily and objectively assessing an infection risk of infection diseases in a specific store.SOLUTION: An infection assessment method of assessing an infection risk of infection diseases in a gathering space inside facilities, where the infection risk is a risk of aerosol infection caused by aerosols containing pathogens, includes: discharging liquid microparticles with a particle size of 0.1 μm or more and 10 μm or less into the gathering space; after discharging the liquid microparticles, tracking decrease in an amount of liquid microparticles over time, assessing capacity of the gathering space to remove microparticles based on a recovery time t1, the time required for the amount of liquid microparticles to decrease sufficiently, comparing the microparticle removal capacity and the required ventilation capacity of the gathering space, and when the microparticle removal capacity is equal to or more than the required ventilation capacity, assesses that the aerosol infection risk is lower than that of the gathering space.SELECTED DRAWING: None
