Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate speed change while providing a light and compact transmission by fitting planetary gears through an one-way clutch in planetary centers pivoted on a carrier and providing eccentric shifters capable of adjusting an eccentricity to a rear wheel hub shaft. CONSTITUTION:A rear wheel sprocket 8 is rotatably fitted onto a rear wheel hub 10, and a plurality of planetary centers 18 are rotatably pivoted on a carrier 14 fixed to this sprocket 8. Planetary gears 19 are fitted onto these planetary centers 18 through one-way clutches, and eccentric shifters 29 capable of adjusting eccentricity to a rear wheel hub shaft 9 are provided such that driven gears 13 meshing with the respective planetary gears 19 are fixed to a rear wheel hub 10. Thus, since speed can be continuously changed for a short time without needing any technology for change operation, the speed change is facilitated and the whole unit can be made compact around a rear wheel axle to provide a compact light transmission.
