Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a personnel wearing a belt from immersing into water by forming a belt device capable of wearing tightly around a waist and capable of inflating in an emergency.

CONSTITUTION: A belt 10 comprises a tubular member 12, and both ends 12a and 12b of the tubular member 12 are sealed by plugs 14 and 16. The plugs 14 and 16 support belt mounting devices 18 and 20 which can connect a belt member 22 made of a thick fabric, less extendable material adjustably to both ends 12a and 12b of the annular member 12. A through port 40 which communicates with the inside of the tubular member 12 and stores a part of a communicating member 42 stored in a gas cartridge mounting device 26 is formed in the plug 14. In an emergency, gas from the gas cartridge is fed into the belt so as to inflate the belt.
