Title:
INFLATABLE CANOE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002225783
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To decrease resistance generated in a stem portion of an inflatable canoe by rationally shaping a stem bottom portion.

This inflatable canoe has a pair of right and left air body 1. A stem air chamber 2 and a stern air chamber 3 upwardly warping are formed at both end portions of the air body, and tapering air chamber tip end portions are bonded to each other and integrated. A bottom air chamber 4a is provided between the right and left air body 1 to structure the ship bottom 4 of a ship bottom air body portion. The bottom air chamber 4a structuring the ship bottom 4 is extended from the air body 1 end portions in the stem or stern direction, and upwardly warped from the ship bottom 4 to be higher than a draft line c in the same way as the stem air chamber 2 and the stern air chamber 3. Therefore, a water flow received by the stem during traveling is cut and pushed to right and left sides by bottom air chambers of upwardly warping extending portions 4b, 4c, thereby decreasing water pressure resistance generated at the stem.
