Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an inflater element in which explosive substances such as explosives are not used and which is safe in handling.
CONSTITUTION: Electrodes 3 and 4 are installed on both sides of a heating element 2 formed of porous metal, and ammonium carbonate powder is housed in inside holes of the heating element 2. By supplying current to the electrodes 3 and 4, the heating element 2 is made to rum hot, and by heating the inside powder, carbon dioxide gas is generated.
