Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inflator that can operate for many years and is high in stability to environmental influences such as penetration of moisture or corrosion.SOLUTION: This invention provides an inflator 10, particularly for a protective device in a vehicle, comprising a plurality of components, wherein a sealant, particularly the sealant that adheres to two abutting component parts, is applied in the region of the component parts. There are provided an inflator produced in such a way and a method of producing the inflator, a module comprising the inflator, and an air bag module comprising the inflator.
