An information provision device requires a price for an information resource to an information acquisition device, and the information acquisition device adds certificate information showing payment of the price to identifier information of the required information resource and notifies the information provision device. The information provision device confirms the received certificate information to confirm the payment of the price, and provides the information resource indicated by the received identifier information to the information acquisition device while adding receipt information. The information acquisition device confirms the received receipt information to confirm the reception of the required information resource, and returns the receipt information about the required information resource to the information provision device. The information provision device confirms that an exchange between the price and the information resource is completed, according to the received receipt information.
