To propose an information acquisition system which reads information related to visual information printed on a book from a storage means, based on dot codes added to the visual information, and acquires the information as voice and images.
The information acquisition system is composed of a dot code b, and a reader 2 for reading the dot code b. The reader 2 is provided with a reader part 6 for reading the dot code b, and a control means 10 which reads voice data and image data stored in the storage means 7, based on the dot code b read by the reader part 6, makes a voice generating means 8 output the voice, and makes an image display means 9 display the image. The dot code b is superimposed and printed on the visual information (a) of a pattern or the like printed on a sheet body 1 of an illustrated book or the like, and voice data and image data related to the visual information (a) are stored in the storage means 7.
