PURPOSE: To enable the users except the program specialists to operate an information conversion system by describing the conversion drawing methods of the information and the external information source information as the knowledge.
CONSTITUTION: A knowledge store part 11 stores a rule group describing the conversion method between the graphic variable information and the external information source postulate/result information and a rule group describing the conversion method between the graphic variable information. Therefore the conversion methods of the chart information and the external information source information can be freely described at the part 11 as the knowledges with no use of a program. Based on these knowledges, an information conversion part 7 serving as an inference mechanism performs the conversion of information with no malfunction. As a result, the users even if not program specialists can operate an information conversion system and also can easily and immediately produce the conversion method between the optional external information sources and the charts produced as necessary. Then the working efficiency is improved.
