Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information display medium comprising a falsification prevention function, and a method for authenticating the information display medium.SOLUTION: An information display medium 1 contains a relief structure formation layer and a metallic thin film layer. The relief structure formation layer has a plurality of first relief structure regions 10 including a plurality of protrusions or recesses that are orderly arrayed at an inter-center distance of 200 to 500 nm and that have a structure height of half to twice the inter-center distance. According to the first relief structure regions 10, a discrimination pattern for machine authentication is displayed for imparting digital information such as a bar code and a two-dimensional code. The information display medium 1 is imaged by an information processing terminal having an imaging mechanism, an illumination mechanism, and an image analysis mechanism, and thereby authenticity determination is conducted of the information display medium.
