In an SMS information distribution system 300 with a general telephone number (reception telephone number) assigned thereto for identifying its own apparatus, prescribed provision information is stored in a provision information database 61, a call from a cellular phone 100 to the reception telephone number is received, and a phone number of the cellular phone 100 added to the received call is stored in a caller telephone number database 62. Then, the provision information is read from the provision information database 61, and short message mail addressed to the cellular phone number stored in the caller telephone number database 62 is generated and distributed using a short message service.
