PURPOSE: To attain simple exchange of urgency information by combining a name of a mail and its urgency in a mail data to generate a new name of the mail and using the new name of the mail so as to manage a relevant mail data.

CONSTITUTION: An urgency recognition section 32 reads an additional code corresponding to a given urgency from an urgency table 35 and gives the code to a name generating section 33. Moreover, additional codes 'S','E','O' referred to as 3 stages of urgency ('super-express', 'express', 'ordinary') are set to the section 32. The generating section 33 combines a code with a name of the mail given from the recognition section 32 to generate a new name of the mail, which is given to a data storage control section 34. The control section 34 gives the new name of the mail provided from the generating section 33 to the mail data from an input information analysis section 31 and stores the resulting data to mail boxes 12a,12b corresponding to a terminal equipment of a transfer destination. Thus, a trouble of both the management and the processing of information is avoided.
