PURPOSE: To input switch information by a coordinate input device without using a broad working table or a general interface by converting a switch signal outputted from an information input apparatus conneced to a mouse interface into switch signal for a coordinate input device.

CONSTITUTION: The information input apparatus 3 transmits dialing information or switch signal by using the mouse interface stored in a host computer 1. In this case, the information input apparatus 3 provided with a switch is connected to the mouse interface so that a switch ON/OFF signal can be send to the computer 1 through the mouse interface and the computer 1 converts the inputted switch signal into switch information in an coordinate input device 2. Consequently, various information can be inputted without requiring a broad working table or many general interfaces in the host computer 1.
