Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information management system that can perform, using low-cost printing medium units and a low-cost structure, information management for the printing medium units individually and can perform information management for sold printing medium units individually as well.SOLUTION: The information management system comprises: a code reading device 26 that reads a commodity code of a package P; an information management server 2 that receives a reading result by the code reading device 26, allocates a specific ID to a tape cartridge C, the commodity code of which is read, so as to perform information management for the tape cartridge C; a label producing device 26 that produces an adhesive label that is printed with the allocated specific ID and adhered to the tape cartridge C; and an information acquiring device 26 that reads the specific ID of the adhesive label and acquires, from the information management server 2, the specific information of the tape cartridge C to which the read specific ID is allocated.
