Abstract:
To provide an information medium processing device, and a driving life determination method thereof, capable of making a life of a drive section follow fluctuation of the life due to temperature fluctuation and making a determination with high accuracy in accordance with practical use.SOLUTION: A drive state detection portion 18 detects a driving state of a motor 16 that is a driving portion, and a temperature detecting portion 19 detects a temperature of the motor 16 or the vicinity of the motor, thereby the detected driving state information and the detected temperature information are stored in a storage portion 232, and the current life of the motor 16 is determined from the correlation relationship between a standard life of the motor 16 defined in advance and the detected temperature, based on the detected temperature and the detected driving state information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
