Abstract:
PURPOSE: To realize recording at a high speed and to smoothly restart the recording at the time of jam without waste by outputting image information of a plurality of pages from an image information generation source to a controller ahead of actual recording.
CONSTITUTION: An image is output from a host computer 701 to a first page memory 702, a second page memory 703 ahead of actual recording, and an image to be recorded by a recorder 704 is managed at a page unit by an auxiliary page memory 705. Three types of jam detecting functions are provided in the recorder 704, and a page to be read by the memory 705 is altered according to a jam content at the time of restarting recording after the jam, thereby restarting the recording.
