To provide an information presenting device that collates data of a sound recorded in some environment and stored in a device with data of a sound that a user holds and presents information corresponding to collation-successful sound data in the device to the user.

The user inputs a sound having been recorded by a user terminal 200. A collation section 106 collates the received sound data with sound data previously stored in a storage section 104. When the collation section 106 determines through the collation that the sound data received from the user terminal matches with part of the sound data in the storage section 104, it is considered that the authentication is successful. An information extraction section 107 extracts information corresponding to the authentication-successful sound data from the storage section 104 and provides the information for the user terminal 200 through an input/output control section 105.
